Rosters for the Eastern and Western Conference have been announced

Both the Eastern and Western Conference starters for the 2023 NBA All-Star game have been revealed. There were a few unexpected decisions.

The NBA All-Star game, which will be played in Utah, will open with the top ten vote-getters. The starting lineup and the squad leaders were both revealed. LeBron James, a star with the LA Lakers, is the Western Conference’s captain. Giannis Antetokounmpo, a star for the Milwaukee Bucks, was selected as the Eastern Conference’s captain. On February 2, when the head coaches of the league choose the reserves, the remaining NBA All-Stars will be revealed. Two guards, three frontcourt players, and two “wild cards” who can play any position make up each conference’s seven reserves. Adam Silver, the NBA commissioner, will decide whether to substitute players due to injuries.

The All-Star Game will soon be here, which means it’s time to decide who will start the league’s exhibition game in mid-season in 2022–23. They chose these starting with a poll that included players (25 percent), media (25 percent), and fans (50 percent). With help from the accounting firm Ernst & Young, they revealed these starters on TNT on Thursday. The following 10 players have been chosen, with three front-court players and two guards from each conference:

Since the new All-Star format began in 2018, James has served as the NBA All-Star game’s captain each year. In 2019 and 2020, Antetekounmpo served as the All-Star captain.

Donovan Mitchell, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Kyrie Irving make up the Eastern Conference’s starting lineup. Many believed that Joel Embiid would start for the Eastern Conference this year. Fans, however, prefer other players over him.

Steph Curry, Luka Doncic, Zion Williamson, and Nikola Jokic are the starting five players for the Western Conference. The most unexpected choice was Williamson. His first time starting in the NBA All-Star game will be his second appearance overall.
